Thank You For all you do for Baltimore County We need your assistance, will put whatever you donate to good use, and will greatly appreciate your charitable gift in support of our local Police Precinct. The local Precinct PCRC exists to enhance and recognize the work of the dedicated men and women at the Local Precinct, as well as to further Police=Community communication and understanding. Also, consider a request of a $100 contribution from your Homeowner's Association. In the meantime, before putting this letter aside, please make your tax-deductible charitable contribution of $10, $25, $50 - however much or little you can afford - to the Pikesville PCRC today. We also organize and hold monthly Meetings at which the Precinct Commander and his colleagues come together to inform all members of the Community, all of whom are welcome to attend, to discuss Crime Trends, learn about Police activities, share Community and Police concerns, hear Crime Prevention tips, and improve communication. Sponsoring an Annual Officer Appreciation Day to recognize the Precinct's men & women, their spouses, and children for their sacrifices they make for us every day of the year. BPD and the City are actively working with the vendor on a daily basis in addressing this matter as quickly as possible, so that we can fully restore our public reporting of data that ensures transparency and accountability in BPD operations.PCRC is a no-frills charitable organization, with no paid staff, no luxurious offices, no fancy dinners, and no boondoggles. Based on our review, data on Part 1 Crime Incident Reports provided by Open Data Baltimore have been impacted starting in May, 2021 when the new system went online. As a result of this massive transformation, we have experienced some complexities in properly and accurately translating the data from the new records system into the traditional Open Data Baltimore system. In May, 2020, the Baltimore Police Department began a significant upgrade to its new Records Management Systems to allow the department to transition from a paper-based system into a fully digital reporting environment. The "Part 1 Crime" dataset represents the location and characteristics of major (Part 1) crime against persons, such as homicide, shooting, robbery, aggravated assault, etc., within the City of Baltimore.
